Welcome to the New York Separations web site. The objective here is quite simple,
we are a support system for separated new yorkers. At the current time this site
will function as place where we can touch base to find out where the next public
meeting is. We are a support system to each other for each other. It is my hope that
this site will be a place to heal the pain that we all feel going through such a difficult
time. I know to well what you are going through as I myself am going through it. In my search to ease the pain I found little to nothing that compares to another human beings company. From within ourselves and each other we will find the strength to heal our
pain and come to realize it is growth. We will go forward with our lives. So is born
my site and its purpose.
I would like to lay some ground rules before we go any further.
• We are to treat each other with the utmost dignity
• We are to listen to each other as well as speak
• We are to support each other in any way possible
• We are there for each other as friends
• Our goal is mental, spiritual, and emotional growth
• We have no race color or creed, all are welcome to participate in friendship
• Be yourself, we are not there to criticize or pass judgment you are among friends
For now we will meet in public places until something falls into place. I will do my
best to insure there is enough space and that the environment is comfortable for all. I
would like to make it clear that we are not meeting for environment but for each other.
I don't expect to big of a turn out as this sight is new and not well known, regardless I
would like all who are interested in attending to email me to give me an idea of how many
people to expect. My email is [email protected] and I look forward to hearing from you.
It is my hope to implement a great many services on this site including but not limited to
chat, spiritual guidance, a suggested readings link page, financing, legal, art and poetry,
housing, general living, employment and humor. Little by little this site will grow. I hope to
see members participate and offer whatever services they can and be part of it. If you have a
page you can link my page to it. If you know of some site that would find this sort of
gathering desirable you may also imploy a link to my page. We need to get the word out,
that we are there for each other and we are not alone, so get to it. If you have a friend going through separation maybe you can suggest they drop by the sight, take a look around,
come to a meeting if they are in need.
Separations can be complicated. Deception and emotional confusion only add to the
pain. It is my wish that our relationship with each other be the eye of the storm. A
place where we can release our feelings and listen to others. To gain objectivity and
perspective. It is my hope from the death of the old relationships we were in we can
rediscover ourselves and find strength in ourselves and in each other. We should be
honest and supportive of each other. Some of us are seriously hurting and others are
at a later stage of the separation. No matter what stage you are in, you should attend.
It might be helpful to others to see that they can get through this.
Some of you may still want it to work. To this I say, it did not work before and most
likely wont again until there is change. Changing yourself is difficult to say the least, you
may be happy with the way you are or they may be happy with the way they are.
Everyone is entitled to be themselves and that's the most important thing one has to
realize. If you think change will improve yourself mentally, spiritually or emotionally
I say go for it, but do it for yourself.
Remember email me before hand so I have an idea how many people to expect. In doing so
I will be better prepared for the turn out. Again I don't expect many to show up in following
weeks to come but in time we will grow.
Lets get on with it. Next weeks meeting will be at favorite place of mine. It is a very
special place to me for many reasons. It is dead on mondays tuesdays and wednesdays
and thereby an ideal place to meet. When it is warmer, they have a wonderful backyard.
It is a Japanese restaurant called the Zen. It is located at 31 St. marks Place the east village.
Trust me you will like it. Dinner specials are under $20 and the environment is low key.
In other words, we can speak. I am shooting for March 1st 8:00pm. That's next wednesday.

meeting. They have no idea about any meeting. It is just a meeting place I chose for that
week.
